SpiritWorks - I Luv!

Spiritworks I Luv! is our weekly publication. From the youth's inspiring thoughts, the E-groups and compositions, we have weekly compiled them so that we can share them to almost everyone on the prayer meeting.

The SpiritWorks has its missions too. Here's the list:

Community - to capture, treasure, and keep the memories of the Youth Ministry in the act of fellowship during activities, by way of pictures and write-ups.

Maturity - to provide stories/teachings that would educate the Youth Ministry

Ministry - to be a venue for sharings, encouraging words, and prayers that show God's love for us and inspire the members, their families and friends

Missions - to provide an image of the Youth Ministry and its members to outreach communities

Honor - to provide inspiration that will lead to higher worship

The BLD Youth mailing list started around February of 1999. Three years have passed since then. Duke Mendoza, a member of this ministry, was the one who started the group since she knew most of the electronic mail addresses of the people then. Kristine Racho, another BLD Youth member suggested that the mailing list be formed through the E-groups free mailing list ( which was the name before of the Yahoo groups until Yahoo bought it). Duke did and thought that it would be a good idea to still have another means of communication through the internet. Besides, there were more youth members who were becoming active online then. It was easier to contact them and inform them about the activities of the Youth through the net.

At first, Duke started inviting Youth members to join the mailing list and then the family just grew bigger.

Right now , there are about 80+ members within the mailing list and still growing. Duke now do-moderates the group with Mariel Blanco since Duke also have to move on and give time for her work.
